Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? (2 Corinthians 6:14, 15 NIV84)

Right off the bat I want to say that just because someone isn’t a believer doesn’t mean that their a wicked person. It is my opinion from witnessing others that it can be difficult (not impossible) to have a relationship with someone who doesn’t believe in Jesus. There have been some cases where I’ve seen a believer and a nonbeliever date and then that person be led to the Lord. How AMAZING is that!?

I’ve also seen cases however where the believer drifts away from God. This is where I’ve seen so many things go wrong. Girls become pregnant, guys skip out, and dreams are gone.

So yes, in my opinion, dating a nonbeliever is a risk. All I can do is encourage you however to pray about that relationship and ask God what He wants to become of that relationship.
